Ines Nasri was Invited to The Immigrant Connection Spring Mixer

Ines Nasri was invited to The Immigrant Magazine’s Immigrant Connection Spring Mixer. The magazine, a leading voice for American immigrants, focuses on the diverse ethnic community and provides a platform for immigrant concerns.

The Immigrant Magazine is a leading voice for American immigrants. They specialize in developing and distributing media, focusing on the ever-changing ethnic population in the United States. Along with providing a publication for immigrants, The Immigrant Magazine also provides forums to raise concerns and interests about immigrants. They also provide an ideal channel for businesses and organizations to reach and inform immigrant communities about their services.

As a part of their core value of uncovering immigrant lifestyles and experiences, the organization held an event titled “The Immigrant Magazine’s Immigrant Connection Spring Mixer,” with the theme: “#ONELOVE, Stop The Hate Against Black Immigrants.

Embark on a #Lovelution.” The event was held on April 20, 2024, at the Kultur Lounge in The Marke in Los Angeles.

The event focused on reporting hate crimes, not only to prevent silencing voices but to let everyone dream freely and protect everyone in the community. This powerful message aligned with the California State Library’s Stop the Hate program, administered in partnership with the California Department of Social Services and the California Commission on Asian and Pacific Islander American Affairs.

During the event, Ines Nasri shared about how entrepreneurs, business owners, and anyone else can succeed by embracing their unique identity. This authenticity fuels passion, attracts customers with the same values, and fosters innovation through fresh perspectives. She also shared that, ultimately, self-acceptance leads to confidence and effective leadership.

The Consul General of South Africa graced the event, delivering a powerful message at the start. Juanita Palacious Sims, founder of the International Society of Black Latinos, and Rev. Kelvin Sauls served as moderators. Youth panelists Robert Kemngang JR, Emery Hooks, Alaysia Washington, Adamu Mba, Vanessa Anchang, Isaiah Clark, and Nevon M. Watson and exceptional speakers Elvis Prince Tognia, Dr. Makisha Lawrence, Melissa Shepherd-Williams, sharing stories of sincerity, bravery, and authenticity.

The Immigrant Connection Spring Mixer was a resounding success, leaving attendees feeling empowered and connected. The event not only equipped them with the resources and confidence to report hate crimes but also inspired them to build a more inclusive community. The palpable energy in the room was a testament to the belief that love and unity can pave the way for a brighter future for all immigrants.
