Four editions have passed since PROSDELACOM started the PROS D’OR: The grand prize of communication. The first four editions were a huge success and in partnership with the prestigious Advertising Festival of Cannes, a fifth edition was bound to happen and was held on February 9, 2019.

The aim was to reward the best advertising campaigns of the 2017-2018 period that left an impact on the Tunisian communications landscape.

 

For this year’s competition, over 450 campaigns were submitted for consideration. They were all competing for the title of “Best Campaign of the Year” in several categories that included:

  • Urban Display
  • Film
  • Publishing
  • Radio
  • Internet
  • Mix Media
  • Promo and Activation
  • Design

 

 

All the campaigns were submitted to a jury where Ines Nasri was in attendance as a member of the jury. Just like all the other members, who are professionals in their fields, they chose her from her field in the world of digital marketing, where her contributions have been far-reaching and significant.

They compose the jury of professionals in academia, media, advertisement firms, creative directors and other relevant professions.

The Movenpick Hotel Tunis was the site where members of the jury arrived for an intensive day of looking through hundreds of campaigns in several categories.

The membersof the jury were:

  • KarimFerjani (UM agency);
  • AzerJaafoura (SAMSUNG);
  • Khansa Ben Farah (BIAT bank);
  • Sleh Ben Ayed (BHbank );
  • Bedis Ben Amor (TBWA agency);
  • MoetazAffes (PeakSource);
  • Amel Gaaloul (Memac Ogilvy agency);
  • Mohamed Ammar (Jawhara Pub agency);
  • Mohamed Guedri (3sixty agency).

 

The campaigns were judged on two criteria namely: the creative idea and the execution of the campaign. Entries in the INTERACTIVE category had to be in one of those subcategories:

  • IM Mobile
  • IF Facebook Application / Games
  • IB Branded Content
  • IV Viral films
  • IL Online Advertising
  • IS Website and Platforms

 

The Pros D’Or awarded Coca Cola the advertiser of the year award for all the efforts they put into the campaign for Tunisia’s ecosystem of advertising and communication. As a worldwide conglomerate, they truly have made the power of their branding felt everywhere.

As for the Agency Award of the Year, that went to McCann.

The Minister of Commerce, Mr. Omar Behi, honored the personality of the year, Mrs. SyrineChérif, selected by the jury members, during the event. Her efforts for three decades in the advertising world, have made her a big influence in Tunisia.

Pros D’Or ultimately gave the award for Campaign of the Year to “YaRoussiaJayin” campaign for Tunisie Telecom, conducted by the JWT Agency.

At the end of the event, they had thrust many of the prominent campaigns into the limelight, put them under the microscope and given valuable information to help them conduct subsequent campaigns.
