Ines Nasri Participates as a Speaker / Panelist in SelectUSA’s Women in Tech Inbound Investment Mission

Led by the U.S. Department of Commerce, SelectUSA focuses on facilitating job-creating business investments in the U.S. SelectUSA also helps raise awareness of how economic development is essential to the U.S. economy. Since its creation, SelectUSA has facilitated the creation and retention of over 162,000 U.S. jobs, and has helped bring $161 billion in investment into the U.S. SelectUSA sponsors and participates in specific industry events dedicated to promoting foreign direct investments in events in the U.S. and worldwide. Among these events is SelectUSA’s Select Global Women in Tech. The SelectUSA’s Select Global Women in Tech program is a key priority of the Commerce Department’s drive to facilitate job-creating business investments in the United States. This program helps introduce international female tech entrepreneurs to the U.S. market by supporting them with resources from across the United States to help them in their U.S. investment journey. Among the essential components of this program is the SGWIT Mentorship Network. This network is comprised of executives, business owners, and experts from across the U.S. startup ecosystem who have shown interest in supporting female-run businesses and tech companies who have invested in the U.S.

Ines Nasri was invited and participated as one of the key panelists in the recently-concluded Women in Tech Inbound Virtual Investment Mission, an event within SelectUSA’s Select Global Women in Tech (SGWIT) program held on November 15, 2022. The theme of the event was entitled “Entering U.S. Markets Successfully – Tips for your Global Expansion.” The event is a go-to-market panel discussion that provides valuable information to entrepreneurs, business owners, and executives of rising startups wishing to succeed in the United States. The event has 45 speakers/panelists and over 185 registered participants, including 112 up-and-coming startups worldwide. Joining Ines Nasri in the event as panelists were Donaji Montes Estrada, CEO of Intechnational and Gopi Ganesalingam, Senior Vice President of Malaysia Digital Economy Cooperation (MDEC). Stephanie Rothman, an Investment Consultant of the SelectUSA program served as a moderator moderating.

 

In the Women in Tech Inbound Investment Mission event, panelists, such as Ines Nasri, are committed mentors who have made their own contributions in providing meaningful impact to the mentees matched to them. Moreover, as industry experts, successful executives, and entrepreneurs, they can share the valuable insights that ambitious female entrepreneurs need when expanding their businesses into the United States. They also helped familiarize participants with business and cultural differences in the U.S. and the advice they can share about the appropriate sales pitching styles, business norms, rules, regulations, and overall culture. Through the Women in Tech Inbound Investment Mission event, the knowledge and engagement provided by panelists like Ines provide an incredible experience for participants. Participants were familiarized with what it takes to succeed in entering, expanding, and growing the U.S. market.
