Mediterranean Women Digital Summit

The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) is an international political foundation. In Germany, regional offices offer a wide variety of civic education conferences and events.

Offices abroad are in charge of over 200 projects in more than 120 countries worldwide.

As a think-tank and consulting agency, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung scientific fundamental concepts and current analyses are meant to offer a basis for possible political action and dialogue between the spheres of politics, economy, science, and society.

As part of its Regional Program South Mediterranean, the KAS organized “Mediterranean Women Digital Summit”.  As a digital transformation expert, Ines was invited by Regional program director to share her vision and recommendations about women’s inclusiveness in the digital transformation and ways to get more girls and women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering,and Mathematics) fields careers.

The summit is a yearly platform for selected women activists and entrepreneurs leading the digital transformation in their respective countries’ economies and societies. The 2018 event is the first edition of this series. It brought together selected female leading figures from countries from Europe and the Mediterranean region: Morocco, Algeria, Lebanon, Libya, Spain, France, Germany… and Tunisia.  The summit was held under the patronage of the Presidency of the Republic of Tunisia.

During 3 days, participants were invited to deliver and develop their view of the digital transformation in their selected industry through an interactive workshop format. As an output, selected recommendations were gathered in a single document to be shared with the KAS and the presidency to serve as guidance to future policy of the country and in the region.
